The Clarinda clients initially wanted to re-do their kitchen. After all the cooking they did during lockdowns, busy professionals wanted to spoil themselves with a kitchen that worked for their families. They chose to work with an interior designer because they wanted to work with a professional. The clients had spoken to carpenters and other trades, and they thought the best solution would be to hire someone whose profession was to design interiors.

Once the little one started using the yard, they invested in updating the landscaping, and then they realised they wanted to update the inside space to make it more functional for their family.They had storage issues; even though they had plenty of space and storage, much of it was unusable. Think; corner pantry, doors in odd places. During the initial walkthrough, Lathika checked out the laundry as it was a project they wanted to do it later on, but straight away, she noticed that with some changes in specifications, it could still fit in the budget. They ended up with a brand new kitchen and laundry for the price of the kitchen renovation.
