A professional couple, managing busy careers and raising a young child, undertook the construction of their dream home with meticulous attention to detail, drawing from their past experiences. In addition, they needed to accommodate their aging parents who would be residing with them. Recognizing the significance of their endeavor, my client actively sought professional assistance to ensure informed decision-making and benefit from the guidance of an experienced design specialist. Thus, they engaged the services of Lathika Nair Design to help bring their vision to life. Our involvement encompassed the comprehensive interior design and decoration of the entire home, ensuring a coherent and harmonious aesthetic throughout.

During the initial consultation, it became evident that my client had a distinct vision, expressing clear preferences and non-preferences. We reached an agreement that each room would exhibit a unique theme and color palette, aligning with her desires. Considering their existing collection of substantial furniture, we embarked on the task of customizing these pieces to seamlessly integrate them into the new home’s aesthetic. Our collaborative process commenced with brainstorming sessions and the creation of mood boards for each room. Through extensive discussions, we finalized the color themes and overall ambiance, striking a balance between their preferences and design principles.

As we proceeded, we accompanied my client during furniture shopping expeditions, providing guidance and expertise. Impressively, she also independently made purchases, referencing the mood boards we had developed together, showcasing her keen eye for design. To add a distinctive flair, we incorporated wall murals in place of traditional wallpaper and introduced wall paneling, aligning with their personal style and preferences.
By skillfully integrating these various components, including their cherished art and accessories, we successfully materialized their envisioned dream home for this exceptional family. The end result is a harmonious and tailored space that reflects their preferences and caters to the needs of their busy lives, providing a beautiful and functional environment for them to thrive in.
